Service Description
The RYA Day Skipper Theory course will illustrate how to safely get in and out of the harbour, as well as the factors to consider when looking for an anchorage. The classroom course is offered over five days, you will gain a full RYA qualification alongside the knowledge and understanding of chart work, seamanship, meteorology and collision regulations. The courses start on Saturday at 9am until 17:00 on the following Wednesday. Over five days or 40 hours, you will gain a full RYA qualification alongside the knowledge and understanding of chart work, seamanship, meteorology and collision regulations. What's Included • RYA Training charts 3 & 4 and RYA Training Almanac • RYA Day Skipper Northern Hemisphere Exercise book • RYA Electronic Chart Plotter software / simulator • An RYA instructor in the classroom with you to teach, help and guide you through the course syllabus • All exams are included in the course fee. Please note you will need to bring with you paper and pen/pencils (2B), eraser, and dividers / Bretton or Portland plotter.
